“Darkly humorous epic fantasy … debut novelist Luke Scull spins a gripping tale with expertise and relish.”

Guardian

LUKE SCULL is a British author and videogame designer. Luke’s first novel, The Grim Company, was shortlisted for the Gemmell Morningstar Award and earned a starred review from Kirkus as well as praise from the Guardian, the Sun, and the Daily Mail. Luke’s game design credits include several acclaimed titles for Ossian Studios. He has worked on The Witcher, Neverwinter Nights, and Baldur’s Gate franchises and is currently design lead for several projects.

Luke is currently writing a standalone novel set in the world of The Grim Company trilogy. He is also writing a young adult fantasy novel that can best be described as “The Hunger Games meets Deathtrap Dungeon,” and he has several horror novels in various stages of completion. Luke has published short fiction in Grimdark Magazine and will be producing more short fiction when time allows.

In addition to juggling several novels and videogame projects, Luke is attempting to read and review every Forgotten Realms novel in published order. This thankless task is made even more difficult by Luke’s recent introduction to the world of Warhammer 40k and adding “writing a Black Library novel” to his list of writerly ambitions.
